About Jess

I’m Jess, and I’m extremely passionate and passionately extreme about all things handmade. Like you, I wear many hats, some of which include:

I’m a jeweller – I make eco-friendly, contemporary jewellery from recycled sterling silver under the brand Epheriell. I also run a fun, sweet, vintage-inspired line called Vintette.

I’m a blogger - I blog daily at Epheriell Designs about craft, creativity, life and business.

I’m an editor and a publisher – I’m the lady behind *bespoke* zine – A lovely little zine all about handmade, vintage, photography, art, micro-business, eco-friendly goodness and much more – all in a sweet little A5 sized package that you can take anywhere! Independently created, professionally printed in full-colour, with 40 internal pages brimming with crafty goodness!

I’m a writer – I wrote the e-book Etsy Success Stories to find out how the top sellers did it – and convinced them to share their knowledge with you and me. I’m also a regular columnist for Scoutie Girl.

I’m a speaker and a teacher – I used to be a primary-school teacher, and nowadays I speak and give lectures about social  media and running a micro-biz.  I’m a regular guest lecturer at The University of Queensland, and I give annual seminars on Social Media for Creative Business for BrisStyle - a large and very active group of crafty business owners in Brisbane, Australia (my home city).

I’m addicted to learning - I have three Bachelor’s Degrees (in Science, Arts, and Education) and I’ve been building websites since 1996, when I taught myself html after school (usually after I’d done my homework… usually). It was my dream ever since then to harness the power of the internet to grow some sort of business – I always said I wanted to make a living online before I was 30. Well, I’ve passed that birthday, and that milestone! Here I am, living that dream. Shiny!

I’m also a wife, a cat-mummy, an only child, a tea-addict, and a bookworm (a habit made worse now that I have a Kindle!).
